Common questions
Stories aren't marking as read
Auto-read marks a story only after it has fully scrolled off the top of the screen. To clear the last few, keep scrolling past the end, or use Mark all as read at the bottom of the list.
My teams or places don't show
Add them in Settings. Team news feeds fill in within a few minutes of adding a team; a place can be a ZIP code or "City, ST".
The weather is for the wrong town
Enter the state too ("Dover, MA"). A bare town name can match the wrong one.
Push notifications aren't arriving
On iPhone, notifications work only once NewsNoodle is added to the Home Screen (Share → Add to Home Screen) or installed from the App Store. Then turn them on in Settings → Weather notifications and send a test.
Quotes look delayed
Market data can be delayed by up to 15 minutes depending on the source. Index values come from Yahoo Finance; stocks from Finnhub.
I want my account deleted
Email support@newsnoodle.com from the address on the account. Everything tied to it is removed within 30 days.
Status
If the site is slow or a feed stops updating, it is usually a source outage. Feeds refresh every two minutes; markets every minute during trading hours; weather every ten minutes.
